Reviews Submitted For Publication on Our Website
Product reviews submitted for publication on the Ann Summers website go through a moderation process before being published.
- Reviews are not published instantly.
- Not every review will appear on the site, depending on the outcome of moderation.
How Our Review Moderation Works
We want to be very clear and open about this process.
- We do not hide or remove reviews simply because they are negative.
- Honest feedback - including criticism - is important and helps other customers make informed decisions.
Before a review is published, we check that it is:
- Safe and appropriate for a public website.
- Written in a respectful and lawful way.
- Free from harmful, explicit, or abusive language.
- Relevant to the product being reviewed.
This moderation step helps protect customers, colleagues, and the wider community, while still allowing genuine opinions to be shared.
If You’ve Changed Your Mind
- If your review has not yet been published, please contact our Customer Services team as soon as possible.
- We’ll check the status of the review and let you know whether it can be stopped from going live.
If the Review Has Already Been Published
- Once a review has been approved and published on our website, it may not always be possible to remove it.
- Our team will always explain what options are available, clearly and respectfully.
Reviews Submitted on External Websites
If your review was left on an external review platform (such as Trustpilot):
- These reviews are managed by the external website, not by Ann Summers.
- In most cases, you can edit or delete your own review by logging into your account on that platform.
- Any changes must be made directly through the external site.
Genuine Reviews Only
Whether on a site we own, or an external review platform (such as Trustpilot):
- We do not ask Ann Summers employees to leave reviews.
- We do not ask friends, family members, or anyone connected to our colleagues to submit reviews.
- Reviews are submitted voluntarily by customers, based on their own experience with the product or service.
